~Borderlands
~Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
~Dragon Age: Origins
~Grid
~Lost Odyssey
~Spiderman: Web of Shadows
~The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
These are the games that I played throughout the year that I thought were absolutely awesome. Many of them because of the beauty, others because of their gameplay, and some because their story lines just rocked. These games took up a lot of my time and caused me to find some simple meals to keep my hunger at bay while I blasted through them.
If you haven't tried any of these games, I hope that you can take some time to play through them.

Easy Mode Ham and Cheese Panini
I had a lot of game time in 2009 and the Ham and Cheese Panini was the easiest recipe that I used quite often. Most people don't think that making things like sandwiches is considered cooking. I would like to tell you my friend that is just not true. Cooking is all about making your meal an experience and, it is that, that will make your food memorable.
You may be asking yourself, "Why should you care about the food and how it looks?" Well let's take a normal scenario that I have run into:
I am sitting playing video games and I forget that my dad said that he was coming over to hangout and maybe watch a movie. My doorbell rings and my first thought is "Doh!" Because of all the game playing, I haven't eaten and I am just now realizing how hungry I am. So I let him in and start talking but quickly let him know that I gotta make something to eat and I offer something to him as well, after all if I didn't offer him anything that would be rude right?
Now I could just make a simple ham and cheese sandwich which he would eat and he probably would be satisfied with it. However, what if I took a few extra steps to make it more interesting and enjoyable to eat? His opinion of me might change some... He might think I am a little more grown up and maybe think that I have matured.. well I don't know about you but my dad thinking that I have grown up a little even though I haven't is a good thing in my book.
I mean after all wouldn't you love to eat this?
Ingredients:
Honey Wheat Bread
Ham
Cheese
Romaine Lettuce
Dill Pickles
Butter or Pam spray
Directions
Stage 1:
Take sandwich ingredients and place them together as you normally would on a typical sandwich.
Stage 2:
Butter the grill or use Pam spray to grease the George Foreman Grill.
Stage 3:
Place sandwich on the grill until it is nicely browned.
Stage 4:
Take off grill, cut in half, and add chips to plate
That's all there is to it. This is a quick and easy meal that takes a normal sandwich and ramps it up to a new level. Take your meals to the next level as you would your gaming and have fun with it.
That's it for today! Happy Gaming and Cooking,
The Gamer Chef

Introductions
Hello Everyone,
My name is Jared and I was once a hungry gamer. All my life I have loved video games but I have always found myself hungry in the midst of my gaming. Always captivated by games, I would continue to play and not move from my seat, sometimes to the tune of 48 hour game sessions. As time has passed and my love for games has increased, I have found that it is no longer possible for me to have those incredibly long gaming sessions without sustenance. In light of that, I have started doing more and more cooking even though it cuts into my gaming time.
Throughout the life of this blog I will be posting some easy to follow recipes for quick snack and meal ideas. Also I will be providing my own opinions and advice about games worthy of buying and games that should stay on the shelf. The game system that I mainly play is the Xbox 360 so anyone is welcome to ask me questions about that system or about food at anytime.
I hope that you all enjoy my blog,
The Gamer Chef
